Curro Bankenveld is seeking a qualified and passionate Foundation Phase Teacher to join their team. The role involves creating an engaging educational atmosphere, planning and managing teaching and learning activities, promoting discipline, and supporting sports and cultural programs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective running of the grade/phase and contribute to the school’s values and ethos.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control, record, and report on assessments
• Attend grade/phase meetings, forums, and workshops as required
• Create an engaging and educational atmosphere in the classroom
• Take responsibility for classroom equipment and stock
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure the effective running of the grade/phase
• Manage, plan, assist, and promote teaching and learning within the class
• Manage, plan, assist, and promote school activities, including sports and cultural events

Qualifications

• Appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution
• Relevant experience in teaching Foundation Phase
• Experience with the IEB curriculum
• Current SACE registration
• Clear criminal record
